EXPERIENCE:
Laurel is a very successful personal trainer, manager for the SilverSneakers® Fitness Program for older adults, and group exercise instructor at Infinity Fitness Center in Goodyear, AZ. She has extensive experience and knowledge in pregnancy and postpartum fitness, designing and implementing customized fitness and wellness programs, conducting fitness/body composition assessments and health risk appraisals, and general nutrition counseling. Beyond working as a personal trainer, Laurel has worked as a Fitness Director at the Eagle Fitness Club in Carson City, Nevada, pioneered group exercise programs including Pilates and Balance Ball classes, instructed weight training classes at Brigham Young University and assisted Dr. Pat Vehrs, Professor of Exercise Physiology at Brigham Young University, in his research to better understand childhood obesity, and has worked in various health promotion programs around the country. Laurel has also been invited to speak on a talk show for a local radio station, Arise Arizona, as a local exercise specialist and expert and was recently inducted into the Cambridge Who's Who Among Executive and Professional Women in Healthcare Hall of Fame. |
